RSA UGM Nurse Dika Investigated After Viral Post Mocking BPJS Patient
A nurse at RSA UGM, Dika Purnomo Aji, is alleged to have posted a comment insulting BPJS patient Yurizal Tri Chaerawan on Threads. RSA UGM is currently investigating the case.
RSA UGM President Director Dr Darwito confirmed that Dika Purnomo Aji is a healthcare worker at RSA UGM. Darwito said the hospital has deployed an ethics team to investigate whether any violation occurred. Dika is said to have been summoned for clarification today.
“It is being investigated by the ethics and legal team of RSA UGM, together with the nursing committee and the head of nursing services. But confirmation is still being carried out. So if he is indeed at fault, then disciplinary and ethical rules will be applied,” Darwito said when contacted on Thursday (6/7/2026).
The ethics team will assess whether Dika committed a violation in relation to his comment. The ethics team will also determine the sanction in accordance with RSA UGM regulations.
“Of course there are rules, our hospital already has rules. The conduct of all hospital and academic staff — from nurses, doctors, co-assistants, residents, trainees, to attending physicians — is governed by regulations,” Darwito said.
It is known that comments by a number of healthcare workers against BPJS patient Yurizal Tri Chaerawan, @yurizaltrich, who shared his experience on Threads, recently went viral. The healthcare workers were deemed to have posted insulting comments towards the BPJS patient who complained about not getting a room after waiting for eight hours.
The case drew further public attention after Yurizal was reported to have died. One of the accounts highlighted was @1amdika.
“Heart attack, sir, if you want it fast, go to the emergency department, straight to the cath lab, then off to the ICU,” the account @1amdika commented on @yurizaltrich’s thread.
It later emerged that the account owner is Dika Purnomo Aji, who works as a healthcare worker at RSA UGM.
