RSA Natuna Air Force Base sharpens soldiers' physical fitness through cross-terrain training
Natuna (ANTARA) - The Raden Sadjad (RSA) Air Force Base in Natuna, Riau Islands, has conducted cross-terrain training as part of an initiative to sharpen physical fitness and improve personnel readiness in supporting duties at the border.
The Commander of RSA Natuna Air Force Base, Air Vice Marshal Onesmus Gede Rai Aryadi, stated in Natuna on Tuesday that the training was attended by soldiers, civil servants (PNS), and officials of the RSA Natuna base in East Bunguran District, Natuna Regency.
During the exercise, participants trekked on foot from Tanjung Pasir Beach to the RSA Natuna base area, continuing to Muara Pasir Beach. From Muara Pasir Beach, the participants proceeded along the coastline to the finish line at Nirwana Beach.
“The route was used to test the physical endurance and agility of the personnel,” he said.
After completing the course, the activities continued with military swimming drills.
He noted that cross-terrain training is conducted periodically to maintain physical condition and increase the bodily endurance of personnel.
This series of exercises is expected to enhance the capabilities and maintain the cohesion of RSA Natuna personnel in performing their duties in the Natuna region, which serves as one of the Indonesian Air Force bases in the northern border area.
“This training is also intended to maintain the cohesion and togetherness of all personnel,” he added.
