RPH Surabaya offers discounted beef ribs at Ramadan Market
PT Rumah Potong Hewan (RPH) Surabaya Perseroda is conducting a rib meat clearance sale at the Pasar Murah Ramadhan organised by the Dinas Koperasi, Usaha Kecil, dan Menengah, serta Perdagangan (Dinkopumdag) Kota Surabaya.
Chief Executive Fajar Arifianto Isnugroho of RPH Surabaya, when contacted in Surabaya on Thursday, said that through the RPH Suryamart business unit they offer a range of quality animal protein products at affordable prices.
‘We provide high-quality frozen beef at friendly prices. Starting with kisi, tenderloin, sirloin, and also our Ramadan mainstay is the rib meat clearance at Rp50,000 per kilogram, while stocks last at Pasar Murah Ramadhan,’ he said.
He noted that the Pasar Murah Ramadhan is held simultaneously from 08:30 WIB at 15 subdistricts in Surabaya, providing a variety of essential goods, from cooking oil, eggs, red chilies to beef and chicken, and other items.
In addition to beef, there are beef processed products such as bakso, tahu bakso, dimsum, abon sapi, siomay, as well as chicken carcasses and chicken portions.
‘Ayam karkas at RPH Suryamart is sold at Rp37,000 per kilogram, versus around Rp42,000 outside. During Pasar Murah Ramadhan, we are offering a special price,’ he said.
Fajar explained that the presence of RPH Suryamart at Pasar Murah Ramadhan this time is part of PT RPH Surabaya Perseroda’s effort to bring itself closer to the community and provide the best service in meeting beef and chicken needs for the public during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr this year.
He added that the involvement of PT RPH Surabaya Perseroda in several Surabaya City Government activities is to ensure the public can access quality meat at low prices and to help control meat prices to prevent inflation in certain commodities.
‘For example, the most common items are meat, sugar, chicken, and so on, which are prone to price increases. Therefore we support this policy. The aim is to help control prices in the market,’ he said.
RPH Suryamart will appear at 15 subdistricts in Surabaya, including North Krembangan, Morokrembangan (Kampung Bahari), Keputran, Simokerto, Bendul Merisi, Sawahan, Wonokromo, Kedurus, Panjang Jiwo, Sukolilo, Menur Pumpungan, Dukuh Pakis, Genteng, Kapas Madya Baru, and Rumah Padat Karya Raya Bringin.
Kepala Dinkopumdag Kota Surabaya Mia Santi Dewi said the main objective of the Ramadan market is to reassure the public about the availability of essential goods and to support price stability and inflation control.
‘We want the public not to worry about the availability of goods. With the Ramadan market, commodities with price-raising potential remain available and accessible,’ she said.
