TEMPO Interactive, : The repairs to the electricity grid for the homes of Yogyakarta and Central Java earthquake victims will require Rp36 billion.
The number of houses on the grid damaged by the earthquake totaled 120,000.

“The installation of the new grid will cost around Rp300,000 thousand per house,” said Dadang Kurniawan, Marketing Manager of the state electricity company PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) for Central Java and Yogyakarta.

This does not include repairs to and purchase of such outer-house installations including transformers, poles and street-lighting. The need for these funds, said Dadang, has been reported to the PLN head office in Jakarta.

“We're not sure yet where exactly we will obtain the funds from,” he said.

It is possible that the funds could come either from regional budgets and the state budget as well as from other sources.
