JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The absorption of the budget for the People’s Credit (KUR) Housing through the Housing Program Credit (KPP) has reached Rp16 trillion. This was conveyed by the Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait during a meeting with the President Director of PT Bank Syariah Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BSI, Anggoro Eko Cahyo, at BSI’s office in South Jakarta, on Thursday, 21 May 2026.

‘This programme is very successful, because as of today KUR Housing has absorbed Rp16 trillion,’ said Maruarar.

According to him, the magnitude of the absorption demonstrates positive reception from the public.

He added that, based on BSI data, financing with a nominal value under Rp100 million is actually the most popular among the public.

‘And the most in demand, as in BSI, if I’m not mistaken, are those under Rp100 million, which have the highest demand,’ Maruarar said.

Maruarar also cited the disbursement of KUR Housing in BSI’s Mataram region, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). On the supply side, disbursements to developers reached Rp70 billion, contractors Rp19 billion, and hardware stores Rp26 billion. On the demand side, the financing value reached Rp200.7 billion.

‘Thus, these numbers indicate that demand is far larger. This is very helpful for the people,’ the Gerindra Party politician said.

BSI targets disbursement of KUR Housing through the KPP programme at Rp1.2 trillion in 2026.

‘So if we look at this year’s target for BSI, for KUR KPP it is Rp1.2 trillion,’ Anggoro said.

In addition, BSI also aims to disburse the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP) for 5,540 subsidised homes this year.

As for FLPP, the realisation through BSI up to March 2026 has reached 1,250 homes. Anggoro said he will pursue the target set.

‘Of course, at BSI our spirit has always been to do our best,’ he continued.

Anggoro explained that KUR Perumahan financing is aimed at supporting the needs of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), whether for home renovation, home purchase, or the purchase of a shop house that can be used for business activities.

‘So this facility is for MSME players, whether for home renovation, buying a home, or a shop house that can be used for business. That is why, for us at BSI, this is part of our responsibility to provide facilities for individual MSMEs,’ Anggoro said.

From the supply side, the financing can be used by contractors, developers, and hardware stores that meet MSME criteria.

Initial KUR Perumahan financing can reach up to Rp5 billion and may be revolving up to Rp20 billion. Meanwhile the MSME criteria referred to are a maximum capital of Rp10 billion and a maximum turnover of Rp50 billion.

On the demand side, financing can reach up to Rp500 million. Even for values below Rp100 million, no collateral is required, with interest at 0.5 percent per month or about 6 percent per year.
