Rp1.6 Billion from Drug Dealer Placed in Plastic Bag Outside AKBP Didik's Office
Indonesia’s Criminal Investigation Directorate (Bareskrim) of the National Police has unveiled the process of transferring Rp1.6 billion from drug dealer Abdul Hamid alias Boy to former Bima City Police Chief AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro.
Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, Director of Narcotics Crime at Bareskrim Polri, stated that the total sum was transferred in instalments between May and September 2025.
He said the money was deposited through the former Head of Narcotics Crime Unit at Bima City Police AKP Malaungi as compensation for protecting methamphetamine distribution in the Bima region, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).
“According to the statement of A Hamid alias Boy, he has deposited a total of Rp1.6 billion during the period of May to September 2025,” he told reporters on Friday (13 March).
He detailed that the first instalment comprised Rp400 million wrapped in a black plastic bag, which was then placed in front of the Narcotics Crime Unit office at Bima City Police.
The second instalment, also Rp400 million, was again wrapped in a black plastic bag and handed directly to AKP Malaungi at Lamboade Gym.
“The third instalment of Rp400 million was wrapped in a black plastic bag and placed in front of the Narcotics Crime Unit office at Bima City Police,” he said.
The fourth and fifth instalments of Rp200 million each were wrapped in black plastic bags, placed behind AKP Malaungi’s quarters and handed directly in front of Hotel Mutmainah.
Previously, Bareskrim Polri arrested drug dealer ‘Boy’ alias Abdul Wahid, who had deposited Rp1.6 billion to former Bima City Police Chief AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro.
The arrest was carried out by a combined team from Sub-Directorate 4 of the Narcotics Crime Directorate of Bareskrim Polri together with the Narcotic Investigation Center (NIC) Task Force at a rented house in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, on Tuesday (12 March).
“DPO Boy has been arrested,” said Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, Director of Narcotics Crime at Bareskrim, in a written statement.
Kevin Leleury, Head of the NIC Task Force of the Narcotics Crime Directorate at Bareskrim Polri, stated that Boy was listed as a wanted person (DPO) in the network of Erwin Iskandar alias Koh Erwin in West Nusa Tenggara.
“Abdul Hamid alias Boy served as a narcotics dealer in Erwin Iskandar’s network in the NTB region,” he explained.
Bareskrim Polri had previously arrested KE alias Koh Erwin, a drug dealer who supplied both money and narcotics to former Bima City Police Chief AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro.
Erwin was arrested while fleeing on an illegal maritime route to Malaysia from Tanjung Balai, North Sumatra. He reportedly resisted arrest and had to be incapacitated by officers.
Koh Erwin’s network was known to have transferred Rp1 billion to Didik through his subordinate AKP Malaungi, who served as Head of the Narcotics Crime Unit at Bima City Police. Didik received the money during the period of June to November 2025.
Didik has now been dismissed from the National Police with dishonour (PTDH). In addition, he is currently detained at the Bareskrim Police Detention Centre.
