RP starts freeway project
MANILA (Reuter): The Philippine National Construction Corp (PNCC) said yesterday construction of a US$500 million elevated freeway for Manila would begin early next month.
The elevated highway is one of the projects of Citra Metro Manila Tollways Corp, a joint venture firm between the Indonesian-based Citra Tubindo Group and the PNCC.
The project is expected to be completed in 1998 to ease the traffic jams that affect the Philippine capital.
