RP manufacturing output down 11%

MANILA: Philippines manufacturing output fell 11 percent from
a year earlier in inflation-adjusted terms in March, the
government said on Wednesday.

The drop was far sharper than the revised 0.8 percent year-on-
year decline in February.

The manufacturing sector's average capacity utilization rate
stood at 78.6 percent in March compared with a revised 78.4
percent in February. -- AFP
