Rp 5b targeted from computer show

JAKARTA: Promoters Dyandra Promosindo has said that it expects to sell Rp 5 billion (US$500,000) worth of computer equipment and Rp 3 billion worth of electronics equipment during the Mega Bazaar Computer and Electronic Show from March 13 to March 17 at the Jakarta Convention Center, Central Jakarta, said their information technology project manager, Deddy Andu.

The exhibition will then travel to six cities throughout the country, including Jakarta, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Surakarta, Surabaya and Makassar.

A total of 375 companies, including multinational market leaders Acer, Epson, Samsung, Philips, Lexmark, Wearnes and Umax, will participate in the Mega Bazaar Computer. Local companies Datascrip, ATM COM, Columbia, Mugen and Micronics are also expected to take part.

The electronics side of the event is expected to be participated in by, among others, Sony, National, Panasonic, Sanken, LG and Kenwood. -- Antara
