Buleleng Police have thwarted the distribution of cocaine valued at approximately Rp 40 million during the Antik Agung 2026 operation. A total of 21.56 grams of cocaine were seized from a narcotics recidivist suspected of attempting to establish a new distribution network in the Buleleng area.

Buleleng Police Chief, AKBP Ruzi Guzman, stated that this discovery is a significant achievement during the 15-day Antik Agung operation, which ran from 13 to 28 May 2026. “The Buleleng Police Narcotics Unit successfully uncovered the distribution of 21.56 grams of cocaine. This is a very important breakthrough because cocaine possesses a higher level of danger and dependency compared to several other types of narcotics,” Ruzi said during a press conference on Monday (8/6/2026).

The case came to light after police received information from the public regarding suspicious activities at a house in Tajun Village, Kubutambahan District. Based on this intelligence, officers conducted an investigation and arrested a man identified by the initials PA, who was found in possession of cocaine packaged in small packets.

During interrogation, PA admitted to obtaining the illegal substances through a ‘drop’ system from a network operating in Denpasar. The cocaine is suspected to have originated from Surabaya and was sent via an intermediary with the initials A, who is currently under police investigation. “The perpetrator collected the goods in Denpasar and brought them to Singaraja for distribution. At the time of the arrest, the goods had not yet been sold, allowing us to secure the entire shipment,” said Ruala.

Ruzi noted that the suspect is a recidivist involved in previous cocaine distribution cases from Surabaya. Police suspect PA was attempting to expand the cocaine market into Buleleng. “We received information that this was the perpetrator’s first attempt to distribute cocaine in the Buleleng area. Since it had not yet been sold, we were able to prevent a wider potential impact.”

Ruzi explained that the selling price of cocaine is significantly higher than that of methamphetamine (shabu). One gram of cocaine can be worth over Rp 2 million, and it is known to circulate primarily among certain circles, including foreign tourists. “If it had reached the market, the resulting level of dependency would be extremely dangerous. Therefore, this discovery is a particular achievement for the Buleleng Police Narcotics Unit.”

In addition to the cocaine case, Buleleng Police reported full success in the Antik Agung 2026 operation, uncovering all six designated targets (TO) identified through investigations. During the operation, the police deployed selected personnel across three task forces: Intelligence, Law Enforcement, and Operational Support.

Beyond the six primary targets, police also arrested four additional perpetrators not originally on the target list (non-TO). “From the six targets successfully uncovered, we seized 17.17 grams of methamphetamine. From the four non-TO perpetrators, we seized an additional 1.6 grams of methamphetamine,” Ruzi revealed.

Police are currently expanding the cocaine investigation to uncover the supplier network suspected of being connected to a narcotics syndicate from Surabaya. Authorities are also hunting for the individual known as A, who is believed to play a role in the distribution of the illegal drugs. “We will continue to develop and deepen our investigation into the involved network. Our commitment is clear: total eradication of illegal drug trafficking in the Buleleng region,” concluded Ruzi.
