Rp 362b revised budget proposed

JAKARTA: The Jakarta administration will propose additional budget allocations of Rp 362 billion in the 2005 revised budget, an official says.

Deputy Governor Fauzi Bowo said that the additional budget allocations were needed due to factors such as the fuel price increases and unexpected additional spending.

In addition, he said that a number of new projects, including the development of gas supply network for new busway projects, had forced the administration to revise the budget.

No details were immediately available on the additional allocations.

The original 2005 budget contained allocations amounting to Rp 14.01 trillion.

The proposed revised budget will soon be submitted to the City Council for approval. --JP
