Maintenance of infrastructure at 25 locations in Gianyar is beginning to be tendered this year. The total budget prepared for the project reaches Rp 200 billion.

“This year, the tender for road repairs,” said the Head of the Public Works and Public Housing Department of Gianyar, I Dewa Gede Putra Hartawan, to detikBali on Wednesday (25/3/2026).

Hartawan explained that all tender information can be checked on the General Procurement Planning Information System (SIRUP) website or the Electronic Procurement Service (LPSE) of the Gianyar Public Works and Public Housing Department. There, there are 25 road segments planned for maintenance and repair.

Road maintenance includes resurfacing, road hardening, shoulder repairs, drainage systems, and the construction of road-related supporting infrastructure. The locations range from roads within the city on Jalan Payangan to roads on Jalan Giwang-Batuyang-Tegehe.

“It’s just Bina Marga (budgeted) Rp 200 billion for roads,” said Hartawan.

Previously, the Gianyar Regency Government (Pemkab) allocated a budget of Rp 140 billion for simultaneous road repairs starting in August 2024. This step was taken after a viral community self-help road repair action in Banjar Sebali, Keliki Village, Tegallalang Subdistrict.

Hartawan said that the road segments at a dozen points have now been completed. Thus, the Gianyar Regency Government is now focusing on maintenance efforts at those 25 road segments.

“18 road segments have been completed since last year,” he said.
