Rp 17b loans for Anugerah Unggul
JAKARTA (JP): Publicly listed Bank Nusa Internasional and five other local banks agreed yesterday to provide Rp 17 billion (US$5.8 million) in syndicated loans to PT Anugerah Unggul Persada.
Bank Nusa, the arranger of the syndicated loan, said the loan would mature in five years, with a two-year grace period.
Members of the bank syndication include Bank Aspac, Bank Inter-Pacific, Bank Dharmala and Bank Eksekutif Internasional.
The interest rate of the five-year loan has not been fixed.
In stable economic conditions, the interest rate would be set at five percentage points on top of the average three-month deposit rates of the participating banks, Bank Nusa said. But in the current turmoil, loan interest rates would be based on negotiations with borrower PT Anugerah Unggul, part of the Jakarta Steel group.
Bank Nusa will contribute Rp 3.7 billion, Bank Finconesia will contribute Rp 4.6 billion, Bank Aspac and Bank Inter-Pacific will contribute Rp 2.7 billion each, Bank Dharmala Rp 2.3 billion and Bank Eksekutif Internasional Rp 1 billion.
PT Anugerah Unggul president, Kurniadi Aman, said the loan would be used to build a family recreation center in Puri Indah Mall, Jakarta.
"Such a recreation center is also promising because the demand for family recreation is still high in Jakarta," he said. (08)
