Rp 115 billion to repair markets

JAKARTA: Rp 115 billion is needed to repair 11 marketplaces destroyed during last year's riots, said the Ministry of Public Works' director general for urban development, Gembong Priyono.

Six out of the 11 markets are located in Jakarta. They are Cempaka Putih, Pasar Minggu, Cipete, Perniagaan, Glodok and Palmerah traditional markets, Antara reported.

The other five are Ciledug market in Tangerang, West Java, Cikarang and Babelan traditional markets in Bekasi, also in West Java, Pasar Atas market in Bukittinggi, West Sumatra, and Singosaren market in Surakarta, Central Java.
