Jakarta - Roy Suryo, the suspect, admitted to being shocked when he met his former lawyer, Pitra Romadoni, at the South Jakarta District Court.

Pitra attended the hearing for a lawsuit filed by retirees and citizens regarding the case of allegations concerning the diploma of Indonesia’s 7th President, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), by the Metro Jaya Police.

Roy claimed he was unaware of the presence of a third party as a prospective intervenor defendant who had been attending the hearings since last week, on Monday (6/4/2026).

“I was also surprised when on the first day, suddenly an intervenor defendant appeared. Even though it was my friends who filed the lawsuit, I shook hands earlier and knew one of them was Pitra Romadoni,” said Roy Suryo after the hearing on Monday (13/4/2026).

In this agenda to complete the case files, Pitra’s side has not yet submitted his power of attorney to the Panel of Judges at the South Jakarta District Court.

Therefore, the Panel of Judges postponed the hearing and requested that Pitra’s side complete the documents.

According to Roy Suryo, this is strange because Pitra is sufficiently professional in the legal field.

“Normally, if this were to start immediately, it would be clear right away. But here, even the prospective intervenor defendant isn’t ready, not bringing the power of attorney. The person is already sitting in the courtroom, how come they didn’t bring the power of attorney?” he said.

Meanwhile, Pitra has not yet revealed the reasons why he was proposed as an intervenor defendant.

He will provide further explanation after the hearing agenda on Friday (17/4/2026).

“On Friday, I’ll comment because the hearing is on Friday, God willing, I’ll come,” said Pitra.

The lawsuit is registered under case number 329/Pdt.G/2026/PN.JKT.SEL, with a total of 17 citizens as plaintiffs.

The retired TNI generals who filed the lawsuit include:

In addition, the lawsuit was also filed by six other TNI retirees, namely Colonel TNI (Ret.) Kusumastono, Colonel TNI (Ret.) Muh Nur Saman, Colonel (Ret.) Sri Radjasa Chandra, Colonel Navy (Ret.) Hasnan, Colonel Navy (Ret.) Joko Indro Wahyono, and Colonel (Ret.) Sopandi Ali.

Retired Major General TNI Soenarko suspects unprofessionalism by law enforcement officials, including allegations of smuggling articles and abuse of authority in handling the case.

“If this is allowed to continue without being opened, the apparatus can act arbitrarily next. We citizens could be finished by these unprofessional state apparatus,” said Soenarko in a press statement in Jakarta on Sunday (29/3/2026).
