Roy Suryo has emphasised that he will not pursue restorative justice (RJ) in the case alleging that seventh President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) holds a fraudulent diploma.

Amid fellow complainant Rismon Sianipar’s decision to apologise to Jokowi’s camp, Roy has confirmed he will continue with legal proceedings.

“God willing, I am 99.9 per cent certain I will not pursue RJ. That is absolutely clear,” said Roy Suryo at Resto Larazetta, Tebet, South Jakarta, Friday (13 March).

“We will together continue to uphold and challenge Jokowi’s diploma, which is 99.9 per cent fraudulent,” he added.

Regarding Rismon’s choice to seek reconciliation and meet with Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Roy simply offered prayers for Rismon to gain guidance.

“During this holy month of Ramadan, I can only say, hopefully Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar gains divine guidance. For those who might be unclear or lost, let us simply pray for them,” he said.

Roy stressed that the legal challenge he and his colleagues are pursuing will not subside in the near future.

“This matter will not cease. The war between America and Israel against Iran, that will not stop until Jokowi produces his original diploma. It will not stop. So this will continue,” Roy asserted.
