Roy Suryo has asserted that he will not pursue restorative justice (RJ) in the case involving allegations that Indonesia’s seventh President, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), possesses a fraudulent diploma.

Roy’s stance differs from that of Rismon Sianipar, who has chosen to seek reconciliation with Jokowi. Rismon previously stood alongside Roy in questioning the authenticity of Jokowi’s diploma.

“God willing, I am 99.9 per cent certain I will not request RJ. That is crystal clear,” Roy Suryo stated at Larazetta Restaurant in Tebet, South Jakarta, on Friday (13 March).

“We will continue together to uphold and challenge Jokowi’s diploma, which is 99.9 per cent certainly fake,” he added.

Furthermore, Roy contended that the matter of Jokowi’s diploma will not be resolved until the relevant parties produce the authentic document.

He even drew a comparison between the alleged diploma fraud case and conflict between the United States and Israel versus Iran.

“Even in a war between America, Israel and Iran, it will not end until Jokowi produces his authentic diploma. It will not stop. So this will continue,” Roy stated.

Roy also commented on Rismon’s contrasting stance. He expressed hope that the digital forensics expert would receive divine guidance.

Rismon has chosen reconciliation and has already met with Jokowi’s son, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, who is also the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia.

“During this holy month of Ramadan, I can only say that I pray Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar receives divine guidance. For those who might be unclear, lost or confused, I can only pray for them,” Roy said.
