Roy Suryo and Dr Tifa Transferred to South Jakarta Prosecutor's Office
Polda Metro Jaya transferred the phase II case files of Roy Suryo and Dr Tifa, suspects in the case of alleged fake diploma accusations against 7th President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), this morning. Both have arrived at the South Jakarta District Prosecutor’s Office (Kejari Jaksel).
Based on monitoring at the location, Monday (22/6/2026), Roy Suryo and Dr Tifa arrived at the South Jakarta Prosecutor’s Office at around 09.43 WIB. Both appeared to be wearing orange detainee clothing with their hands bound by cable ties.
Roy Suryo appeared to walk slowly while reciting takbir. Meanwhile, Dr Tifa recited zikir upon exiting the detention vehicle and briefly flashed a two-finger peace symbol.
“Hasbunallah wa ni’mal wakil,” said Dr Tifa.
“Allahu akbar,” said Roy Suryo while clenching his fist as he walked into the Prosecutor’s Office building.
Both were seen being escorted by police officers as they entered the Prosecutor’s Office. They will undergo administrative procedures related to the phase II transfer of suspects and evidence.
A number of supporters of Roy Suryo and Dr Tifa were seen around the location, offering encouragement to both individuals.
Previously, Polda Metro Jaya explained the arrest of Roy Suryo and Dr Tifa, suspects in the case of fake diploma accusations against Jokowi. Both were detained as part of the transfer to prosecutors because the case file had been declared complete (P-21).
“This arrest is not a standalone action, but rather a continuation of the ongoing investigation process. The case file has been declared complete or P21 by the prosecutor’s office,” said Budi Hermanto during a press conference at Polda Metro Jaya, Jakarta, Friday (19/6).
Budi Hermanto explained that the evidence in the case had also been declared complete and met the requirements. He ensured that all stages of the investigation process were conducted in accordance with criminal procedure law, upholding the principle of equality before the law.
“Thus, this step constitutes a clear and accountable legal basis,” said Budi Hermanto.
A similar statement was made by the Director of General Criminal Investigation at Polda Metro Jaya, Senior Commissioner Iman Imanuddin, confirming the detention of Roy Suryo and Dr Tifa on Friday (19/6).
“The detention of the suspects, namely Mr RS and Ms TF, is part of the process to carry out the handover or transfer of suspects and evidence from investigators of the General Criminal Investigation Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya to the public prosecutor of the DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office in connection with the case file that has been declared complete or P-21,” explained Iman.
