Roy Suryo and Dr Tifa Seen at Polda Metro After Arrest

Polda Metro Jaya has arrested Roy Suryo and Dr Tifa, suspects in the case of alleged fake diploma of Indonesia’s 7th President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), after the case file was declared complete. Here is how the two appeared after the arrest.

Based on monitoring, on Friday evening (19/6/2026), Roy Suryo was initially at the Directorate of Detainee and Evidence Care (Tahti). He was then brought out and escorted into a car. Roy Suryo wore blue clothing and shorts. Not a single word was uttered by Roy Suryo as he was led away.

Meanwhile, Dr Tifa was taken separately from Roy Suryo. Dr Tifa wore an orange detainee uniform when escorted by police officers.

Previously, Polda Metro Jaya was set to examine Roy Suryo and Dr Tifa, suspects in the case of alleged fake diploma of Indonesia’s 7th President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). Both will undergo health checks after being arrested by the police.

“We will jointly take the two suspects to undergo health examinations at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital,” said Polda Metro Jaya Head of Public Relations, Senior Commissioner Budi Hermanto.

Budi emphasised that the arrest of both individuals was carried out because their case files were complete. Thus, the arrest is a continuation of the applicable legal process. “We reiterate that this arrest is because the case file has been declared complete, or P21, by the prosecutor’s office, so this action does not stand alone but is a continuation of the ongoing investigation process,” he explained.
