Roy Suryo and Doctor Tifa Transferred to South Jakarta Prosecutor’s Office, Roy Shouts ‘Keep Spirited, Freedom!’

Suspects Roy Suryo and Doctor Tifa were transferred to the South Jakarta District Prosecutor’s Office on Monday, 22 June 2026, in relation to the case of alleged fake diploma of the 7th President Joko Widodo.

Roy Suryo and Doctor Tifa were seen exiting the Polda Metro Jaya detention centre at around 09:07 WIB. Roy Suryo was wearing a long-sleeved black and yellow batik shirt, not a prison uniform. As he was about to enter the detention vehicle, Roy Suryo raised his fist and shouted words of encouragement to the media crew: ‘Allahuakbar, Allahuakbar, keep the spirit, freedom! Allahuakbar.’ When asked about his preparations for the trial, he made no comment.

Shortly afterwards, Doctor Tifa emerged from the detention centre heading to the detention vehicle, wearing an orange prison uniform. She said nothing and only smiled as she was taken to the South Jakarta Prosecutor’s Office.

Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Police Commissioner Budi Hermanto, explained that the suspects would be transferred around 09:00 WIB. ‘Tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. WIB, the suspects will depart together from Polda to the South Jakarta Prosecutor’s Office for the second phase,’ Budi told reporters on Sunday, 21 June 2026. He added that the suspects had been taken to the Polda Metro Jaya detention centre on Sunday evening. ‘The latest update is that suspects Tifa and Roy Suryo will be moved from Kramat Jati Hospital tonight and accommodated at the PMJ detention centre,’ he stated. The investigative team was still coordinating with the hospital regarding the transfer.
