Roy Suryo and Doctor Tifa to Be Transferred to South Jakarta Prosecutor's Office Tomorrow

Polda Metro Jaya has scheduled the transfer of evidence and suspects Roy Suryo and Doctor Tifa to the South Jakarta District Prosecutor’s Office on Monday (22/6) in the case concerning allegations of a fake diploma belonging to the 7th President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Commissioner Budi Hermanto, stated that Roy and Tifa are also scheduled to be moved to the Polda Metro Jaya detention centre tonight. It is known that Roy and Tifa have been undergoing inpatient treatment at the Police Hospital in Kramat Jati since their arrest by police on Friday (19/6).

“The suspects Tifa and Roy Suryo will be taken from the Kramat Jati Hospital tonight and accommodated at the PMJ Detention Centre. Subsequently, tomorrow at 9.00 a.m., they will depart together from Polda to the South Jakarta Prosecutor’s Office for Phase 2,” Budi told reporters on Sunday (21/6).

Budi conveyed that investigators are currently coordinating with the Police Hospital regarding the process of moving Roy and Tifa. “At present, investigators are still coordinating with the hospital regarding the transfer from the hospital to the PMJ Detention Centre,” he said.

Previously, the Director of Criminal Investigation at Polda Metro Jaya, Commissioner Iman Imanuddin, explained that the arrest of Roy and Tifa was part of the process of handing over the suspects and evidence from investigators to the DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office. The case file has been declared complete by the prosecution.

“Furthermore, to ensure the presence and availability of the suspects during this handover process of suspects and evidence proceeds smoothly, investigators must confirm the whereabouts and attendance of the suspects,” Iman stated.
