Roy Suryo and Doctor Tifa to be Transferred to Polda Metro Jaya Detention Centre

Jakarta - Suspects in an alleged defamation and slander case concerning the authenticity of 7th President Joko Widodo’s diploma, Roy Suryo and Tifauzia Tyassuma, also known as Doctor Tifa, will soon be transferred from the Kramat Jati National Police Hospital to the Polda Metro Jaya detention centre. “The latest update is that suspects Tifauzia Tyassuma and Roy Suryo will be taken from the Kramat Jati Hospital tonight and lodged at the Polda Metro Jaya Detention Centre,” said Polda Metro Jaya Head of Public Relations, Commissioner Budi Hermanto, in a statement in Jakarta on Sunday. Budi stated that this transfer is being carried out ahead of the second stage of the handover (suspects and evidence) to the South Jakarta District Attorney’s Office, which is planned for Monday. Budi also added that investigators are currently coordinating with the hospital regarding the transfer to the Polda Metro Jaya Detention Centre. Suspects Roy Suryo and Tifauzia Tyassuma, or Doctor Tifa, underwent inpatient care at the Kramat Jati National Police Hospital following a medical examination on Friday evening. Refly stated that Roy and Tifa’s general condition is good, but the examination discovered pre-existing conditions that require monitoring and further medical treatment. “Actually, the condition of these two people is good. But they have pre-existing conditions that were discovered during the examination process,” said Refly. According to Refly, the medical team assessed that their health conditions did not yet allow them to immediately return to activities without medical supervision.
