The case alleging a fake diploma of the seventh President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), which is ongoing at the Metro Jaya Police, continues to progress. The case files have been sent to the DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office.

“The case files have been sent to the DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office for further processing,” said the Director of Criminal Investigation at Metro Jaya Police, Commissioner Iman Imanuddin, to reporters on Friday (17/4/2026).

In this case, Metro Jaya Police has designated a total of eight individuals as suspects. Metro Jaya Police has issued termination of investigation orders (SP3) for suspects Eggi Sudjana, Damai Hari Lubis, and Rismon Sianipar.

Meanwhile, the other five suspects have chosen to proceed with the case. In the first cluster, there are suspects Kurnia Tri Royani, Rizal Fadilah, and Rustam Effendi, while in the second cluster, there are suspects Roy Suryo and Tifauziah Tyassuma or Dr. Tifa.

“We have designated two clusters for these suspects. Some chose the restorative justice mechanism for resolution and fulfilment of a sense of justice, and that has already occurred,” said Iman.

“Others chose the court process, so we are still submitting the case files to the DKI High Prosecutor’s Office. Hopefully, legal certainty will be obtained soon,” he added.

The Head of Public Relations at Metro Jaya Police, Commissioner Budi Hermanto, added that they did not encounter any obstacles in investigating the case. He emphasised that Metro Jaya Police is investigating the case transparently and professionally.

“The investigators from the Criminal Investigation Directorate did not face any obstacles but respect public spaces, adhering to the principle of equality before the law. Everyone has equal status before the law. There were requests from the suspects to present mitigating witnesses and expert witnesses. It was also mentioned that there was a request to test at several laboratories,” he concluded.
