Rotary club helps school renovation

TANGERANG (JP): About 160 public elementary school students of Muara 3 in Teluk Naga subdistrict, Tangerang, happily resumed their daily school activities after the Rotary Club supported a total renovation of Rp 84 million for the school.

One of the four school buildings reportedly almost collapsed due to its poor condition.

"We thank the Rotary Club for helping us rebuild the school. We also received new furniture along with the renovations to the four school buildings," the head of Teluk Naga subdistrict, Mahdiar, said on Saturday.

Taufik, a father of one of the students, said he expected the Rotary Club's financial assistance would increase the students' drive to learn.

Soleh, another father, called on other businessmen to follow the Rotary Club's actions. (41/edt)
