Rosan says Luke Thomas Mahony has a strong track record, hence appointed as President Director of DSI - BCA Sekuritas

Rosan Roeslani, Minister of Investment and Hilirisasi and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Danantara Indonesia, said Luke Thomas Mahony’s track record was a major consideration in his appointment as President Director of PT Danantara Sumber Daya Indonesia (DSI). ‘We look at many considerations as well; this is more than just his track record,’ Rosan told reporters at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta on Friday.

Rosan noted that Luke has substantial experience in the mineral and trading sectors, including leadership roles in several mineral-focused companies. He added that Luke also possesses an extensive network and has performed very well since joining Danantara Indonesia.

‘What matters most is his trading experience, his mineral experience, and his leadership of multiple mineral companies, and his network is also strong. We have seen very good work from him at Danantara,’ he said.

According to Rosan, Luke’s experience at multinational companies, including PT Vale Indonesia, was another consideration in the appointment. Rosan also noted that Luke understands Indonesian.

‘He can speak Indonesian as well, and his wife is Indonesian,’ he said.

Luke is an Australian national who previously served as a Director of PT Vale Indonesia. In addition, Luke has been serving as SEVP, Business Performance & Optimization at Danantara Indonesia since September 2025. (end)
