Investment Minister and Head of BKPM, as well as CEO of Danantara, Rosan Roeslani, conducted a working visit to Bali on Sunday (3/5/2026) to inspect one of the locations proposed for the Indonesia Financial Centre (IFC). The inspection included checks on land readiness and supporting infrastructure in the area.

As reported by Detik Finance, this verification aims to ensure synchronisation between physical aspects on the ground and the legal framework being prepared. The government is focusing on regulatory integration to ensure the financial centre’s operations run without administrative obstacles.

Statements regarding this technical inspection were directly conveyed through his official social media account after the on-site observation.

“We inspected the readiness of one of the location options for developing the Indonesia Financial Centre (IFC) in Bali. We ensure the readiness of land, infrastructure, and regulatory framework are aligned,” said Rosan, quoted from Instagram @roslanroeslani, on Sunday (3/5/2026).

The Indonesia Financial Centre project is designed as an integrated economic zone that combines business functions with a knowledge centre. This integration is expected to serve as a driving force for national innovation and as a platform for collaboration across various industrial sectors.

The government’s expectations for building this financial centre include creating strong appeal for foreign investors to invest their capital in Indonesia.

“This will become an international financial centre capable of attracting global investment flows while strengthening Indonesia’s position on the world economic map,” he said.

The development of the IFC in Bali is projected not only to increase the volume of financial transactions but also to accelerate the development of professional talent in the country through the presence of a knowledge district within the area.
