Rosan Roeslani Explores Global Partnerships to Accelerate Indonesia's Strategic Investments
Investment and Downstreaming Minister and BKPM Head Rosan Roeslani conducted a series of crucial meetings with executives from leading multinational companies in Paris, France. The main agenda of the meetings held on Monday, 1 June 2026, was to strengthen Indonesia’s efforts in attracting foreign investment and developing strategic industries.
Discussions covered critical sectors including asset management, strategic industry development, and urban infrastructure innovation, demonstrating the government’s commitment to sustainable global partnerships.
Rosan Roeslani directly engaged with major firms such as Amundi, Eramet, and JCDecaux, aiming to build long-term synergies through consistent dialogue between the Indonesian government and international business stakeholders.
Roeslani emphasised the importance of these meetings in the context of Indonesia’s economic diplomacy in Europe. “In Paris, we discussed with leading global companies across various sectors, from investment and asset management, strategic industry development and downstreaming, to urban infrastructure innovation. Some of these include Amundi, Eramet, and JCDecaux,” said Roeslani, Investment and Downstreaming Minister/BKPM Head.
Roeslani’s economic diplomacy activities continued with the launch of the Indonesia-France High-Level Business Council, marking a significant step in strengthening economic partnership ties between the two nations.
The business forum was attended by industry leaders with a combined market capitalisation of US$1.3 trillion, expected to facilitate high-level dialogue between business actors from both countries.
The agreements were witnessed directly by President Joko Widodo and French President Emmanuel Macron.
“In the presence of President Prabowo and President Emmanuel Macron, the forum brought together industry leaders with a combined market capitalisation of US$1.3 trillion, resulting in four new commercial agreements valued at US$3.5 billion,” Roeslani stated.
The new commercial agreements, worth tens of trillions of rupiah, cover priority sectors such as energy security, trade enhancement, and defence cooperation, aligning with Indonesia’s national development priorities.
