Rosan Roeslani Bans SOE Directors from Polishing Financial Reports
CEO of Danantara, Rosan Roeslani, issued a strong warning to all directors of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) on Wednesday (6/5/2026) to uphold honesty in presenting company financial reports. This emphasis aims to prevent manipulative practices aimed at displaying illusory business performance.
The practice of polishing financial reports or financial engineering was the main focus of the directive. Rosan assessed that achieving high profits would be meaningless if the company’s cash flow is actually in a difficult state, as reported by Detik Finance.
“Do not engage in improper financial engineering anymore. What’s the point of appearing to have high profits, but the flow is empty,” Rosan stressed, who also serves as Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM.
During his speech at the CEO Development Programme event, Rosan emphasised the aspect of integrity for every red-plate company leader. He stated that this principle is a fundamental value that cannot be compromised by anyone in a strategic position.
“I have zero tolerance for integrity issues that are violated,” Rosan said.
The former Kadin Chairman realised that every decision taken by SOE leaders will always provoke pros and cons in society. However, he asked that all policies taken remain oriented towards the interests of the Indonesian people.
In addition, Rosan reminded of President Prabowo Subianto’s directives regarding loyalty and the spirit of nationalism in managing state assets. He asked officials who do not align with this vision to resign immediately.
“The President has often stated, if you are not of one heart, not red and white, please leave the ranks. Very loud and clear,” Rosan concluded.
