Rosan Reveals the Leader of PT Danantara Sumber Daya Indonesia
JAKARTA — Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia (DSI) is to be led by Luke Thomas Mahony, according to Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani. The statement was made after he attended a limited meeting at Istana Negara with President Prabowo Subianto.
“For the moment, Luke Thomas Mahony,” Rosan told reporters at Istana Negara, Jakarta, on Thursday, 21 May 2026. However, he did not disclose the schedule for the official launch of the export body. He said they would seek input from several parties including industry associations and heads of chambers of commerce.
“We had a meeting earlier. We will listen to the input first. Later this afternoon, we will engage with all associations, Kadin, Apindo, the palm oil association APBI, coal, and others, and we will carry out a socialisation. So we will also at 4 p.m.,” he added.
In addition, Rosan did not disclose the reason for appointing Thomas Mahony. “Yes, we are in the process of strengthening the team. We will present the full team later. You can see the track record and capabilities; it is clear. It is like we are building Danantara from the ground up,” he said.
President Prabowo Subianto has officially formed an export body that will become the sole exporter in Indonesia, as announced in the DPR plenary session.
“The Investment Minister/Head of BKPM has formed what is called PT Danantara Sumber Daya Indonesia. Further details will be explained,” said Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto at a press conference in the DPR, on Wednesday, 20 May 2026.
As a note, President Prabowo Subianto targets the establishment of an export body that will be governed through Government Regulation on the Governance of Export of Natural Resource Commodities, aimed at reducing leakage of state revenue.
