Rosan Reports US$4.6 Billion Demand for Danantara Global Bonds Following Prabowo's Directive
President Prabowo Subianto instructed Minister of Investment and Downstreaming, who also serves as CEO of Danantara, Rosan Roeslani, to deliver positive news to the public. Rosan followed up on the instruction by holding a press conference at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Monday, 15 June 2026.
Rosan stated that the good news was the high demand for the international bonds, or Global Bonds, offered by Danantara. He said he had recently travelled around the world to offer these bonds to foreign investors.
Countries he visited included Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, Singapore, the United States, and parts of Europe. During this series of visits, Danantara met with 122 investors.
“After we conducted the roadshow in several countries and conveyed Danantara’s policies and investments, thank God I can report that the response was very good,” Rosan said.
He stated that Danantara initially had a bond sales target of US$1 billion. However, demand for Danantara’s Global Bond reached US$4.6 billion.
“From the plan of US$1 billion we wanted to achieve, the book building that came in was around US$4.6 billion. Seeing the very high book building, we upsized or increased it from US$1 billion to US$1.5 billion,” Rosan said.
Rosan mentioned that Danantara offered two types of international bonds: a 5-year bond worth US$750 million set at a yield of 5.35%, and a 10-year bond worth US$750 million set at a yield of 5.95%.
Rosan claimed the high demand for these bonds is proof of high investor confidence in Indonesia. “This also proves that investor confidence in Indonesia is high, and this is evident,” he said.
According to Rosan, the incoming funds can already be confirmed. He said the bond sale was signed on 11 June and the money will enter Danantara’s account on 18 June.
Rosan also rebutted the notion that investors are reluctant to enter Indonesia due to a lack of trust in the government. Based on the data and facts he had presented, Rosan stated that this assumption has been refuted.
President Prabowo had previously ordered his ministers to convey positive data to the public. This instruction aims to strengthen public optimism regarding Indonesia’s investment prospects and economic growth amidst uncertain global dynamics.
Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said Prabowo ordered Rosan Roeslani to openly present positive data to the public. “As part of the government’s commitment to presenting complete and fact-based information to the public,” Teddy said via a written statement on Sunday, 14 June 2026.
According to Teddy, the presentation of positive data would be held at Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, on Monday, 15 June 2026. He said this step was to affirm President Prabowo’s commitment to building open, transparent, and accountable governance.
