Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM, Rosan Roeslani, has reported on investment realisation to President Prabowo Subianto. The investment realisation was recorded at Rp498.79 trillion for the first quarter of 2026.

Rosan stated that President Prabowo provided guidance on the impact of job creation. This was conveyed by Rosan at the State Palace after reporting the investment realisation to President Prabowo on Tuesday (21/4/2026).

He explained that the Rp498.79 trillion investment realisation achieved 100.36% of the Rp497 trillion target. The investment realisation also increased by 7.22% year-on-year (YoY).

“And this also represents an achievement in terms of Indonesian workforce, reaching 706,569 people or 18.93% year-on-year,” said Rosan.

From this investment realisation, the portion of domestic investment (PMDN) reached 49.89%. The remainder consisted of foreign investment (PMA) at 50.11%.

From domestic sources, there were five regions that were the largest contributors to investment realisation, namely Jakarta, West Java, Banten, East Java, and Central Java.

For foreign investment, several countries contributed the largest investments, namely Singapore at around US$4.6 billion, Hong Kong US$2.7 billion, China US$2.2 billion, the US US$1.7 billion, and Japan US$1 billion.

Furthermore, several sectors dominated the investment, namely the basic metal industry or metal goods such as smelters and others. Then other services, mining, housing, industrial estates, transportation, warehousing, and telecommunications.

Rosan explained that Prabowo also gave a message regarding the investment realisation in the country. According to him, what the President emphasised from the investment realisation is the job creation, which must also grow well.

“Because this is very important and everything must be accelerated immediately. Do not let our regulations actually hinder. Our rules that actually hinder,” he said.
