Rosan Reports Massive Investment Commitments to Prabowo, Reaching Rp 570 Trillion
President Prabowo Subianto received a report on investment commitments from Japan and South Korea amounting to around Rp 570 trillion.
The report was delivered by the Minister of Investment and Downstreaming, Rosan Roeslani, at Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Tuesday (21/4/2026).
“President also received a report on the progress of investment commitments from Japan and South Korea amounting to around Rp 570 trillion,” said Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya on Wednesday (22/4/2026).
The government is pushing for the acceleration of investment realisation. This step is aimed at strengthening economic growth, creating jobs, and increasing added value through downstreaming.
Rosan reported that investment realisation in the first quarter of 2026 reached Rp 498.79 trillion. This figure exceeded the Rp 497 trillion target.
“It is an increase of 7.22 per cent year-on-year and it also absorbed 706,569 Indonesian workers or 18.93 per cent year-on-year,” said Rosan.
“Domestic investment accounts for approximately 49.89 per cent or nearly 50 per cent, similar to foreign investment. Foreign investment is Rp 249.94 trillion, with the composition outside Java at around 50.37 per cent, and in Java at 49.63 per cent or Rp 247.53 trillion,” stated Rosan.
Rosan detailed the five largest countries of investment origin. Singapore ranks first with around US$4.6 billion. Hong Kong follows with US$2.7 billion.
China with US$2.2 billion. The United States with US$1.7 billion. Japan with around US$1 billion.
The largest recipient sectors include basic metal industry and metal goods. Investments also flow into other services, mining, housing, industrial estates, transportation, warehousing, and telecommunications.
