Rosan Hopes Danantara Housing Expo 2026 Can Expand Public Access to Home Ownership
Danantara is building an integrated housing ecosystem, ranging from the building materials industry, developers, and contractors to financing services, to accelerate and expand public access to affordable housing.
CEO of Danantara, Rosan Roeslani, stated that this cross-sector collaboration is necessary to create access for the public to affordable housing, thereby meeting decent living standards and improving welfare.
“The Danantara Housing Expo 2026 is a manifestation of Danantara Indonesia’s support, alongside the entire SOE ecosystem, for the 3 million houses programme, which is a priority programme,” said Rosan in a statement on Sunday, 30 August 2026.
According to him, Danantara is striving to deliver three key elements through the strengthening of this ecosystem: a supply of houses with quality and affordable prices, competitive financing schemes, and easier access for the public.
Regarding financing, Danantara is encouraging synergy between Himbara banks (state-owned banks) and other financial institutions within the SOE ecosystem. This synergy is expected to increase public access to housing finance through more affordable schemes.
“Providing competitive and affordable financing schemes through synergy between Himbara banks and other financial institutions under the SOE ecosystem, as well as easier access for the public,” he added.
Rosan noted that the current need for housing is a high priority. Therefore, Danantara, together with the Ministry of Housing and Residential Areas (PKP), is working to accelerate the fulfilment of public housing needs.
The Minister of Housing and Residential Areas (PKP), Maruarar Sirait, said that the Danantara Housing Expo 2026 can serve as a platform that brings the public together with developers, banks, and various industry players within a single housing ecosystem.
“We hope that the public will find it easier to obtain information to choose houses that suit their needs and gain access to appropriate financing,” said Maruarar.
The Danantara Housing Expo 2026, which took place from 27 to 30 August 2026, featured more than 120,000 property options from over 130 SOE and private developers.
These property options were divided into several zones, namely First Home, Family Home, and Premium Living, each targeting different consumer needs and purchasing capabilities.
Specifically for SOE developers, 12 developers brought approximately 16,559 units from 98 projects spread across 23 provinces, with the value of the offered property inventory reaching IDR 9.79 trillion.
