Rosan: DSI System Detects Under-Invoicing in Export Reporting

Jakarta (ANTARA) – Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Investment Management Agency (BPI) Danantara, Rosan Roeslani, said the Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia (DSI) system is capable of detecting under-invoicing in export reporting through integrated data across ministries and agencies.

Speaking after a Plenary Cabinet Meeting at the State Palace in Jakarta on Monday, Rosan said the system was designed to strengthen oversight of strategic commodity exports.

“The objective is that we can detect what has all this time been ‘under invoicing’,” he said.

According to Rosan, DSI integrates data from the Directorate General of Customs and Excise, the Ministry of Trade, the Ministry of Industry, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), and other relevant agencies, enabling the matching of price data, export volumes, export duties, and taxes.

He said that since a trial of the system was introduced, data discrepancies that previously averaged around 30 per cent have steadily narrowed after the use of a benchmarking index.

DSI currently monitors exports of coal, palm oil, and ferro alloy along with their derivative products, as the initial stage of implementing the One-Door Export Policy.

The evaluation period will run for three months before full implementation on 1 September 2026.

Rosan added that in the next phase, DSI is planned to act as the sole selling agent, although exporters will still be able to transact directly with buyers in accordance with their contracts.
