Rosan: DSI Strengthens Export Data and Transaction Verification System
Danantara Indonesia Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Rosan Roeslani has said that PT Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia (DSI) was established to strengthen national export governance through an integrated, transparent and credible data and transaction verification system.
Rosan stressed that DSI’s existence is not intended to add bureaucracy or take over the authority of regulators.
“DSI’s purpose is not to add a layer of bureaucracy, nor is it to replace the role of regulators. This must be underlined: all licensing, regulatory and supervisory functions remain with the authorised ministries or agencies,” said Rosan, who also serves as Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), at the launch of the New Chapter in Natural Resource Export Governance in Jakarta on Monday, 24 August 2026.
According to Rosan, DSI’s main function is to provide a stronger single verification point to ensure that export data flows and transactions can be monitored comprehensively.
“DSI’s role is to build a stronger single verification point for export data flows and transactions, covering quality, classification of goods, pricing, through to payment settlement and foreign exchange repatriation,” he added.
Rosan said that the management of strategic assets by Danantara Indonesia is not solely directed at increasing transaction volume. According to him, every export activity must have a reasonable basis, be traceable, and be able to provide optimal benefits for the national economy.
He added that DSI’s implementation will be carried out in a gradual and measured manner, taking into account the readiness of all stakeholders. This approach is intended to ensure that its implementation does not disrupt trade flows or existing commercial relationships.
Furthermore, Rosan said that the successful implementation of DSI requires cooperation from various parties. He expressed appreciation to the ministries and agencies that have provided support and data access to facilitate the information integration process.
According to him, this data integration is expected to produce more accurate and transparent decision-making while helping the government formulate more effective policies.
