Rosan: Danantara prepared to discuss dividend contributions with new Finance Minister
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Danantara, Rosan Roeslani, stated that his office will coordinate with the Minister of Finance, Suahasil Nazara, regarding dividend contributions to the state treasury.
“We will discuss everything. However, as this is a new development, I expect we will speak with the Ministry of Finance and the Finance Minister later this week,” Rosan said at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, on Monday.
Nevertheless, Rosan noted that he could not yet confirm the specific dividend distribution scheme that was previously discussed with Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa.
It was previously reported that former Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa stated that the Danantara Investment Management Agency (BPI) would contribute a portion of its profits, valued at Rp120 trillion, to the 2026 State Budget (APBN) revenues.
According to Purbaya, these funds would eventually be categorised under Other Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP).
As a point of note, dividends from State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) originally entered the Non-Separated State Wealth (KND) PNBP category, before being transferred to Danantara following the BUMN amendments last year.
He explained that BUMN dividend contributions before being transferred to Danantara were recorded at approximately Rp90 trillion per year; therefore, he views the transfer of a portion of Danantara’s profits to the state budget this year positively.
“In previous years, we only received Rp90 trillion from dividends. If it becomes Rp120 trillion, that is good, as it is an increase. In fact, the government does not lose; rather, revenue increases. I hope that in the future, the profits will be even larger,” said Pumbaya.
With such contributions, Purbaya added, the movement of the state budget deficit would be positively impacted.
