Rosan: Danantara Prepared as Engine of 8 Percent Economic Growth
JAKARTA — Danantara Indonesia CEO Rosan Roeslani has stated that the investment institution he leads is being prepared to become one of the primary engines driving the national economy to achieve an 8 percent growth target.
He made these remarks at Danantara Indonesia’s first-anniversary celebration held at Wisma Danantara in Jakarta on Wednesday (11 March 2026), attended by President Prabowo Subianto.
Rosan noted that Danantara, whose establishment was championed by President Prabowo, is expected to have considerable capacity to boost the national economy whilst strengthening Indonesia’s position amid global geopolitical and geoeconomic dynamics.
“The role of Danantara is indeed expected to be an engine of growth. It must have the substantial capacity to support Indonesia’s economy as we aim to achieve 8 percent growth,” he said.
He stated that the 8 percent economic growth target must be accompanied by equitable distribution of development benefits to ensure its impact is genuinely felt by the broader population.
“We at Danantara also see a greater significance to this—how we create 8 percent growth, but simultaneously we also pursue equitable distribution so that this 8 percent is truly felt across all layers of Indonesian society,” he explained.
Rosan added that Danantara has an extensive role as it oversees state-owned enterprises operating across various strategic sectors. The business activities of these SOEs cover all aspects of daily life for the population.
For this reason, he emphasised that Danantara’s presence must not merely be conceptual or perceptual, but must deliver tangible benefits to the public.
“Danantara must not merely be perceived as a concept, but its presence must be felt by all Indonesian people and society,” Rosan stated.
He further committed to fulfilling the mandate given by the President with excellence, through proper corporate governance, transparency, accountability, and the highest standards of integrity in all economic activities.
