Rosan Affirms Danantara Is Not a Sole Exporter
Danantara CEO Rosan Perkasa Roeslani has stressed that the government never designed Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia (DSI) to be a sole exporter. Business players can still conduct export transactions directly with buyers and sellers according to prevailing market mechanisms. "Indeed, from the beginning we never proclaimed that we would become the sole exporter," Rosan said during a press conference on the Financial Note and the 2027 State Budget Draft in Jakarta on Friday. Although regulations allow DSI to act as an exporter, this does not mean it will take over all national export activities. Rosan explained that DSI’s main focus is on transparency and price fairness. The government will conduct strict monitoring to ensure no transaction prices fall below the appropriate index. If discrepancies are found, DSI will issue an alert to the relevant exporter. This measure aims to strengthen the oversight and evaluation function. "The objective is how we can suppress, reduce, and even eliminate transfer pricing, under-invoicing, and incorrect data reporting," said the Minister of Investment and Head of the Investment Coordinating Board. To support this function, Danantara is integrating data from various agencies, including the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Trade, the Ministry of Transportation, and Bank Indonesia, into a single platform. This integration allows DSI to monitor export points, volumes, and transaction values on a daily and comprehensive basis. Since June 2026, DSI has reportedly evaluated around 6,500 transactions with a total value reaching US$14 billion. This data serves as a basis for monitoring without intervening in existing long-term contracts between exporters and buyers. As a next step, DSI is preparing an open monitoring dashboard. This facility is expected to provide a detailed overview of national export activities while ensuring trade proceeds with more accurate and transparent data.
