Rosan: Additional Budget Above Indicative Ceiling for Three Priorities
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), Rosan Roeslani, has announced an additional budget of Rp349.7 billion above the indicative ceiling for the 2027 fiscal year, allocated to three main priorities.
Rosan stated that this additional budget is directed towards strengthening investment service systems, increasing competitiveness in attracting investment, and accelerating national investment growth.
“The additional budget of Rp349.7 billion above the indicative ceiling is allocated to three priorities,” Rosan said during a working meeting with Commission XII of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) in Jakarta on Wednesday.
He detailed that the first priority involves the development of the Online Single Submission (OSS) version 2.0, with an allocation of Rp201.8 billion, aimed at improving the quality of the OSS system as the national investment service platform.
The second priority is strengthening competitiveness in attracting investment, with a budget of Rp76.4 billion, by reinforcing the Indonesia Investment Promotion Centre (IIPC) and conducting focused investment promotion following the Subnational Business Ready survey.
Meanwhile, the third priority is the acceleration of national investment growth, with a budget of Rp7lar71.5 billion. Rosan mentioned that this budget will be used for overseeing strategic downstreaming, facilitating presidential priority projects, and implementing risk-based supervision.
Overall, based on the discussions by the Indonesian House of Representatives Budget Committee, the budget allocation for the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM for the 2027 fiscal year has been set at Rp974.84 billion.
This allocation is divided into two programmes: the management support programme at Rp505.3 billion and the investment and downstreaming programme at Rp469.54 billion.
Rosan stated that the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM accepts and agrees to the determined allocation and is committed to managing it accountably, precisely, and with a result-oriented approach.
For 2027, the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM aims to achieve an investment realisation of Rp2,322 trillion, representing a 13.8 per cent increase compared to the 2026 target of Rp2,041.3 trillion.
This target is part of the government’s efforts to achieve an economic growth rate of 8 per cent by 2029. To reach this goal, national investment requirements are projected to reach Rp13,032.8 trillion throughout 2025–2029, with an average annual investment growth of approximately 15.67 per cent.
Rosan emphasised that the implementation of this budget must ultimately provide direct benefits to the public through job creation, increased domestic value addition, and more equitable development across all regions.
“For us, the figures set today must ultimately return to the people in the form of employment, domestic value addition, and more even development in the regions,” said Rosan.
