Rooftop Solar Plant Begins Operation at East Java Facility, APL Drives Acceleration of Green Transition for Sustainable Business
PT Anugerah Pharmindo Lestari (APL) has inaugurated a rooftop solar power plant (PLTS) at its East Java facility, in commemoration of World Environment Day. As a healthcare services company in Indonesia, this initiative is part of its commitment to strengthening APL’s contribution to the green energy transition in Indonesia.
Christophe Piganiol, President Director of PT Anugerah Pharmindo Lestari, stated that healthcare and sustainability are closely linked. Therefore, as the company strives to make healthcare more accessible across Indonesia, it also bears a responsibility to support a more sustainable future for the communities it serves.
“This new rooftop solar plant reflects our long-term commitment to building a more sustainable healthcare ecosystem while supporting Indonesia’s renewable energy targets,” said Christophe, quoted from his statement on Wednesday, 17 June 2026.
Built on an area of approximately 883.32 square metres, the rooftop solar plant has a total installed capacity of 202.2 kWp, capable of generating around 292,237 kWh of environmentally friendly electricity per year. The system is projected to reduce carbon emissions by approximately 264 tCO2e annually, equivalent to planting around 1,056 trees each year.
The official launch of the rooftop solar plant was attended by Bahrul Amig, Assistant for Economy and Development of Sidoarjo Regency, who reaffirmed the importance of private sector contributions in supporting regional and national sustainability goals.
“Collaboration between government and industry is crucial in accelerating the transition to clean energy. The inauguration of the rooftop solar plant at APL East Java aligns with Sidoarjo Regency’s mission to build modern and equitable economic and social infrastructure while preserving environmental sustainability. We warmly welcome initiatives like this because they not only reduce environmental impact but also set a positive example for other industries in East Java to adopt more sustainable business practices,” added Amig.
Representing the health sector, Wahyuwasti Kiki, Head of the Drug Facility Inspection Team at the Surabaya Centre for Drug and Food Control (BBPOM), also attended the official event. She expressed appreciation to APL for integrating sustainability principles into its operations.
