Roles of Two Suspects in the Murder of a Joxzin Member Revealed

Police have revealed the roles of two suspects in the murder of a Joxzin member in Kaliurang, Argomulyo, Sedayu, Bantul. One person acted as the executor and the other as the motorbike rider. Bantul Police Public Relations Head Iptu Rita Hidayanto said the two suspects are SS (29) and FS (22), both residents of Gamping, Sleman. After being apprehended, they were taken to the Bantul Police Resort.

“From the examination, SS’s role was the executor and has been named as a suspect,” Rita told reporters in Bantul on Thursday (5/3/2026).

“Furthermore, FS’s role was the person who ferried SS to the victim’s home. Regarding FS, Rita said he has not yet been named a suspect.”

“If FS’s role is as the ‘joki’ who accompanied SS, FS is currently being questioned,” she said.

“Regarding the evidence, Rita said it is still being sought. The two are currently at Bantul Police Resort undergoing further questioning.”

“And the suspects have currently been detained,” she added.

Earlier reports said police had finally arrested the perpetrators of the murder of a Joxzin member in Kaliurang, Argomulyo, Sedayu, Bantul. The two suspects were arrested in Sedayu this morning.

Bantul Public Relations Head Rita said after investigations including witness statements and analysis of CCTV footage, the police managed to identify the suspects. Next, the police carried out the arrest of the perpetrators.

“Around 04.00 WIB today, the Bantul Resmob Team together with the Jatanras Opsnal Team of the DIY Regional Police and the Sedayu Sector Reskrim succeeded in securing the suspected perpetrators in Sedayu,” she told reporters in Bantul on Thursday (5/3).
