Rokid brings AI glasses to Indonesia, capable of serving as a versatile assistant

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Chinese technology brand Rokid has officially brought its smart glasses equipped with artificial intelligence (AI), named Rokid AI Glasses, to the Indonesian market. Through its official partner, PT Denka Pratama Indonesia, the Rokid AI Glasses are introduced with the hope of providing more AI-powered gadget options for Indonesians, who are now starting to get accustomed to utilising this technology. “Rokid AI Glasses combines AI and wearable technology in one ecosystem. From communication, navigation, AI assistant, teleprompting, photos to videos,” said Brand Manager of Rokid Indonesia, Wiranata Mulya, at the first launch of Rokid AI Glasses in Jakarta on Monday. For the display, Rokid equips these glasses with a microLED screen that delivers a peak brightness of 1500 nits and 10 levels of dimming. This screen will display green-coloured text. For users with myopia or hyperopia, they can also equip these glasses with lenses prescribed by an eye doctor. The glasses also support audio access with dual directional AAC speakers, allowing users to listen to music through this device during active activities, including cycling or casual running. One of the AI features that can help users is Visual Intelligence, where users can directly ask the AI for complete information about what they see in front of them when feeling confused. Another AI feature is real-time translation, which will be very useful when communicating with others using different languages. These smart glasses are also equipped with a 12 MP camera that can be used to take photos or videos with clean and clear visuals. Photos or videos taken with these glasses can then be stored and viewed by users via the Hi Rokid app available on Google Play Store and App Store. In terms of power, this device has a 210 mAh battery with endurance of 8-10 hours of daily use. Rokid AI Glasses are now available in Indonesia for Rp11,649,000 and can be purchased online via e-commerce platforms Tokopedia, Shopee, and Blibli.
