Rohis Pegadaian Embodies 'One Sincerity, Million Benefits' Through Distribution of 4,500 Qurban Packages
The Islamic Religious Organisation (Rohis) of Pegadaian continues its commitment to social welfare by slaughtering and distributing sacrificial meat for Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah. Held under the theme ‘One Sincerity, Million Benefits,’ the event took place at Amanah Bersama Agro Standardised Slaughterhouse in Bekasi City on Wednesday, 29 May. This action underscores Pegadaian’s commitment not only to aggressive business growth but also to strengthening its Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) pillars. Amid the company’s significant strides as Indonesia’s first Bullion Bank and a national financial digitalisation accelerator, this initiative demonstrates that corporate ecosystem modernisation aligns with tangible social welfare contributions. Senior executives from Pegadaian, including Human Capital Director Tribuana Tunggadewi, Legal and Compliance Risk Management Director Ismail Ilyas, Marketing, Sales and Product Development Director Selfie Dewiyanti, Transformation Office SEVP Rully Yusuf, and Rohis Chair Ustadz Sugeng, attended the event. Finance and Strategic Planning Director Ferdian Timur Satyagraha stated: ‘Eid al-Adha is not only an act of worship and piety towards Allah SWT but also a crucial reminder for corporations and all Pegadaian staff about the importance of sincerity, compassion, and sharing. Through this initiative, Pegadaian is fully committed to delivering inclusive social benefits for society while reinforcing unity within the company and with partners.’ This year, Rohis Pegadaian collected 22 sacrificial animals: 14 cows and 8 goats. These were sourced organically from the Community Welfare Fund (DKU), employee contributions, and support from strategic corporate partners including Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI), Galeri 24, and PT Lotus Lingga Pratama. Technically calculated, the animals are projected to yield approximately 4,500 qurban meat packages. To ensure hygiene, cleanliness, and halal standards, the slaughter and processing were handled by professionals at a standardised slaughterhouse. All meat packages will be transported to the Kebon Nanas distribution point for targeted delivery to eligible recipients and local communities. This centralised distribution method minimises crowds and ensures orderly aid delivery. Pegadaian expressed its highest appreciation to all involved parties, business partners, and committees. This social initiative aims to strengthen communal spirit and support the Government’s Asta Cita programme towards Golden Indonesia 2045 through equitable food nutrition.
