Rohadi's case trial to start soon

JAKARTA (JP): East Jakarta District Court is today scheduled to begin the trial of five people accused of killing a women and three children in Bambu Apus, on Oct. 2 of last year.

The court has established three panels of judges to try the accused.

Judge Sunarto, Judge Tojib Matderis and Judge Farida Achmad will lead the panels in trying the five suspects separately, according to Sanudin Napitupulu, the crime cases court secretary.

The first panel will try Philipus Kia Lanjar, 44, the main suspect of the multiple murders.

The second panel will try Philipus' wife Suparmi, 41. The third panel will try Philipus' sons and nephew, Albertus, 15, Lambertus, 12, and Clemence, 13.

Prosecutors Abdul Rahman Saleh and Azizul Hamid handed over the dossier on the five suspects to the court early this month.

Abdul Rahman will lead the prosecuting team to handle Philipus' dossier.

Two other prosecuting teams, led by Hatta Rinuad and Mirza Yanuar, will handle Suparmi's dossier and the three boys' dossier respectively.

The three young suspects may be given special treatment for being minors.(29)
