RobotPlusPlus Supplies Environmentally Friendly Hydroblasting Robots to NOSCO Shipyard in Vietnam
Hai Phong, Vietnam, (ANTARA/PRNewswire) - RobotPlusPlus Co., Ltd. (“RobotPlusPlus”), a global provider of robotic solutions for industrial surface preparation, has delivered more than 20 units of environmentally friendly hydroblasting robots, along with integrated support systems, to NOSCO Shipyard in Quang Ninh province, Vietnam. This delivery represents a pivotal moment in the collaboration between the two companies to promote cleaner, safer, and more efficient ship repair processes in Vietnam and Southeast Asia.
The handover ceremony took place on 21 April 2026 at the NOSCO Shipyard facilities, one of the largest shipyards in northern Vietnam. The solution includes hydroblasting robots, ultra-high-pressure pumps, wastewater treatment systems, and various support devices. With this solution, NOSCO Shipyard is shifting from manual blasting methods to robot-controlled high-pressure water jet cleaning systems.
During the event, RobotPlusPlus and NOSCO Shipyard also introduced a number of HighMate series systems for surface preparation on ship hulls, cargo hold cleaning, and shipyard operational standardisation. RobotPlusPlus conducted live demonstrations on vertical surfaces and provided on-site training, supported by a technical team assisting with installation, calibration, and operator readiness.
NOSCO Shipyard is pursuing a modernisation strategy that prioritises productivity improvements, environmental responsibility, and workplace safety. The adoption of hydroblasting robot technology forms part of efforts to strengthen more advanced and sustainable ship repair capabilities.
“The use of modern equipment plays a crucial role in enhancing productivity, protecting the environment, and ensuring workplace safety. This technology also optimises workflows, improves surface quality, reduces reliance on manual labour, and creates a safer working environment,” said Hung, Vice Director of NOSCO Shipyard.
RobotPlusPlus’s hydroblasting robots enhance the efficiency and standardisation of ship surface preparation processes. RobotPlusPlus’s wastewater treatment system can process over 99% of wastewater and paint residues, while the robots achieve a working capacity of 30–50 square metres per hour, increasing productivity by eight to nine times compared to manual methods.
To support the implementation phase, RobotPlusPlus is collaborating with local partners in Vietnam to provide after-sales services, technical support, and long-term device maintenance. This project strengthens RobotPlusPlus’s presence in Vietnam and serves as a reference for the adoption of similar technologies in the Southeast Asian maritime sector.
Looking ahead, RobotPlusPlus will continue to expand AI-based robotic solutions across various sectors, including maritime, petrochemicals, construction, and energy.
