Robotics expansion requires support from local capabilities to operations

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The AI-based robotics company AiMOGA has stated that supporting the global expansion of the robotics industry requires product capabilities, supply chains, and local operations.

“Global expansion in the robotics industry is not only determined by product capability, but also by strength in research and development, manufacturing, supply chains, distribution networks, shipping, services, and local operations. Sustainable growth can only be achieved by building a strong presence in every market,” said Zhang Guibing, President of Chery International and President of AiMOGA Robotics, in a statement received in Jakarta on Tuesday.

Through these initiatives, AiMOGA has now cumulatively exported at least 2,000 units to international markets, including Southeast Asia (including Indonesia), the Middle East, Europe, Africa, and Latin America.

This development indicates that robotics technology is beginning to move from the product demonstration stage towards real-world usage on a wider and more sustainable scale.

In addition to developing products and technology, the company is also strengthening its industrial capabilities by utilising Chery’s global experience of nearly three decades.

This is supported by Chery’s global research and development, manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, distribution networks, and service systems. This collaboration creates complementary strengths between the automotive and robotics industries, while simultaneously supporting the large-scale global implementation of robotics.
