Robert Marbun is no stranger to the Ministry of Finance. The man born in Medan on 23 June 1970 has held several positions in the Ministry of Finance before eventually moving to the Ministry of Investment/BKPM. The individual who obtained a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Universitas Padjadjaran, a Master of Policy Analysis (MPA) from Saitama University, Japan in 2000, and completed a Doctor of Philosophy in Economics from Kobe University in 2004, once built his career at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC). Based on data from the State Organiser’s Wealth Report (LHKPN) at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), he first reported his assets as a state official in 2007 at a value of Rp 1.48 billion. Then, in 2008, it amounted to Rp 2.3 billion. Subsequently, in 2011, his position was recorded as a Field Analyst in Supervision and Law Enforcement for Customs and Excise at DJBC with asset ownership of Rp 3.14 billion.
