Robbery at a minimarket in Tangerang Regency, cashier threatened with a pistol
An armed robbery occurred at a minimarket in Pasanggrahan Village, Solear District, Tangerang Regency, Banten. The suspects allegedly escaped with tens of millions of rupiah from the shop’s safe. CCTV footage shows the suspects apparently pointing a pistol at the cashier. Cisoka Police Chief (Kapolsek Cisoka), Iptu Aditya Surya Sakti, said officers have processed the crime scene and are continuing to investigate the armed robbery. In the armed robbery, the total amount of Rp29,930,000 was stolen, according to him. ‘After obtaining the money, the perpetrators fled on a motorcycle,’ Aditya said on Friday (22 May). He explained they have taken witness statements and secured CCTV footage as evidence. However, the identities of the perpetrators have not yet been identified. ‘The perpetrators are specialists and we are still pursuing leads,’ Aditya added. Based on CCTV footage, the incident occurred on Wednesday (20 May) at around 03:45 WIB. The footage shows two men wearing black jackets and helmets entering the minimarket and approaching the cashier desk. One attacker pointed the suspected pistol at two employees on duty, while the other wielded a knife and forced the staff to escort them to the safebox. Upon arriving at the safebox area, one employee was struck to the ground to force him to open the money storage. After the safebox was opened, the attackers immediately took all the cash and fled on a motorcycle.
