Robbers break into factory

JAKARTA: A group of robbers broke into PT Vinitex yarnfactory early on Friday and took away a computer, a photocopy machine, a printer and Rp 1 million (US$ 117.65) in cash.

West Jakarta Police detective chief Comr. Hendri Nahak said due to the long holiday only a few security guards had been on duty and the robbers had entered through the back of the factory.

Police investigation revealed that the robbers had climbed over barbed wire along the high wall of the factory and broken down the door to the office.

"The case is being investigated by Kalideres Police subprecinct," Hendri said, as quoted by Tempo Interaktif. -- JP
