Residents are complaining about damage on the road to Citayam Station in Depok, West Java. They hope the road will be repaired soon.

Detikcom observed on Wednesday (4 March 2026) that damage on Jalan Situ Citayam has begun, with holes visible at several points along the road. In addition, rubbish piles up near the wall of the former temporary Citayam Market site, and the smell of waste was noticeable as people passed by.

Damage was also visible on Jalan Lori Sawah towards Citayam Station, with several deep potholes at multiple points. The condition forces motorcyclists to slow down, and traffic jams frequently occur during peak morning and afternoon hours.

A resident named Aidil said the damage on the road to Citayam Station has existed for about two years and has worsened due to heavy rains. “It’s been like this for around two years now,” he said. “Sometimes residents here also fill or cover it with concrete themselves. But it just breaks again, especially when it rains and it becomes muddy.”

He hopes the local government will repair the road soon, worried that the damaged road could cause motorcyclists to fall. “Ideally it would be repaired so residents feel comfortable passing here. This is a busy route; so many people use the KRL from Citayam Station. It would also help to build drainage ditches to prevent water from pooling.”
